Well, I Could Have Died, Part II
The depravity continues on the college front. I received today, earlier than I had expected, a letter from Pomona informing me that they chose not to admit me. I suppose, at this point, I need to put myself on the "wait list" at Northwestern and see what happens.
On a similar note, I did learn today, in the other physical rejection letters, that most of the schools I applied to had record numbers of applicants this year. What luck! Princeton, just because their statistic was so crazy, had close to 19,000 applicants this year, instead of 16,000 or 17,000 in most previous years.
If Northwestern does not take me, then I really will have a problem.
Ah, my dear Kibe. We are in the same boat. I too have not been admitted anywhere yet and am in quite a pickle.
Doesn't it feel odd? I know your transcript--even more than mine--is impressive. I'm having to apply desperately to some May 1st deadline schools...
You should check out the University of Pittsburgh. I don't know what you are interested in, but they have rolling admissions and are pretty well accreditted.
I was wait-listed too, and I discovered that schools in the UK accept international student applications until 30 June of the year one intends to enter.
I applied to a few schools there. Just think, cool British people with awesome accents and Welsh professors you can't understand, who wouldn't want to go?
